Ever changing
I have made some changes around here...namely starting fresh. Life has been rather trying these last few years and I have learned some things about myself along the way. No need to expound too much upon those things, as they were things I am sure God wanted to get across to me, not anyone reading this! I can sum up in a few hopefully brief sentences. For starters, I am a pessimist, I can see the negative or possible negative in almost any situation. This is a trait which has worsened the older I have gotten, and to be fair it has been nurtured by some particularly devastating moments. But I have allowed that pessimism to affect life too deeply and have forgotten to see the beauty of everyday life. And so, I start anew here on these pages. My desire is to make this a place of gratefulness, a place for me to express my joy and thankfulness for the everyday. To remind myself of all that is good in life and hopefully to share a little joy with anyone who stumbles upon this place.

I'm glad you are blogging again (hopefully more frequently!). I've had a really trying last two years and Ive found that stepping away from my blog has helped. I look forward to reading :)
May God bless all your efforts! You do have a gift for expressing so much through writing, so I'm glad you're going to continue writing. I have never tried to blog, so I can't imagine what it's like. I do understand what you're saying about being a "that glass is obviously half empty, so let's work from that" type person! (I've gone through periods of life like that and, yes, we do have a grandfather family member who is the perpetual "little gray cloud" (Of course he sees it as being prepared) And, finally, your comments here reminded me of this blog post I'd read recently on "Beauty and the Face of God" by Fr. Stephen Freeman, so re-reading that was a blessing, thank you!
